Nan Shao received the B.Sc. degree from Huazhong Agriculture University in 2012, the M.Sc. from the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, Institute of Biomedical Engineering in 2016, and then obtained Ph.D. degree from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Institute of Biophysics in 2022. She worked for BGI industry from July 2022 to March 2024 and started in May 2024 as a postdoctoral fellowship in CenBRAIN Neurotech Center of Excellence.
Dr. Shao initially devoted to the research of tumor genesis and relapse at single-cell level. Also, she utilized single-cell RNA sequencing for patient-derived colorectal cancer organoid, to explore the correlation between molecular heterogeneity and drug responses. Presently, in CenBRAIN Neurotech, she is focusing on neural plasticity based on brain’s organoid.
