In the past months, Westlake University has signed collaboration agreements with several leading universities around the globe, including Cornell University, University of Wisconsin-Madison, Washington University in St. Louis, and Monash University. Agreements mainly cover student and academic exchange as well as joint research.
Cornell University, founded in 1865, is one of the 14 co-founders of the Association of American Universities (AAU) and an Ivy League member. As one of the most competitive private research universities worldwide, Cornell University has been a helmsman for U.S. higher education. Westlake University expects fruitful academic and research partnerships and an annual student exchange program with Cornell. A “Study Away” program has already been launched under the agreement, by which 18 Cornell University master’s students have come to study and research in labs at Westlake University for the 2020 fall semester.
Established in 1848, University of Wisconsin-Madison is now known as one of the public Ivies and is also an AAU member. The partnerships with Washington University in St. Louis and Monash University are also featuring study-abroad programs for Westlake University students. Both well-established universities have a rich history and excellent academic resources.
