Group Introduction
The principal investigator of the Geometric Measure Theory Group is Professor Thierry De Pauw. The following is a non-exhaustive list of research topics that are welcome:
·Plateau’s problem in normed spaces and singular varieties;
·Scans and the calculus of variations;
·Connections between geometric measure theory and o-minimal geometry;
·Ill-posed PDEs such as div(v)=F;
·Non-absolutely convergent integration theories;
·Radon-Nikodymification of geometric measures;
·Lipschitz-free spaces and their connections with geometric measure theory.
Job Description
Position: Postdoctoral Fellow (no. of vacancies: 3)
Start date: Flexible (two-year appointment)
Requirements:
1) Hold or expect to hold a Ph.D. degree in Mathematics.
2)Have a solid background in analysis.
3) Aged under 35.
Compensation and Benefits
The research group offers competitive compensation package commensurate with the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience. Applications for relevant projects and programs will be encouraged and supported. For post-doc(s) who are selected by China Postdoctoral Science Foundation or Advanced Programs of Zhejiang Province will be entitled to receive the same amount funds from the Hangzhou government.
Postdoc(s) who work in Hangzhou on a full-time basis after completing their postdoctoral research will be eligible for applying an allowance of 400,000RMB from the Hangzhou municipal government.
