Haozhou Sun was born in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China. She attended the School of Pharmacy at East China University of Science and Technology in 2018 for undergraduate education. In 2019, she joined associate Professor Changhu Chu's laboratory to conduct studies on organic reaction methodology and synthetic chemistry. After receiving her Bachelor's degree in engineering in 2022, she was exempted from admission to Sun Lab in College of Science at Westlake University to study for her PhD.
